Nice idea to pre-plan your use of leftover chicken on Thursday. I have not gotten into that style of leftovers, everything that is left in the fridge gets heated up and put on the table for a leftover buffet. I would love to be able to plan for working leftovers.

Have a great week!

you know, that random piece of paper that you scribbled your dinner ideas on, that is now lost somewhere in the flotilla of paperwork sent home each day from school. BTW, Pancake Night was a total hit!

Dear Kitchen Gadgetgirl, I cant believe you got to see a demo by Chef Tal Ronnen. That is awesome you were originally going to turn down the invitation because you are not vegan cause it would cross my mind too, but then you would have never gotten the celery root soup with granny smith apples recipe! There are a lot of hardcore vegans, and I have noticed they do come up with some awesome dishes, even an omnivore would go crazy for. When I was going through the celery root soup I thought "Wild Thing", you make my heart sing! Loved and saved this recipe. I shall revisit you soon. Thank you for sharing.
Cheers, Gaby

Totally agree that it's a tough call. Have to share the funniest thing I've ever seen in a food donation bin... several years ago, I was leaving the grocery store in December, and the 2nd Harvest food bin was full to overflowing. On top, placed right on the top in full view was an economy size bottle of AstroGlide. Totally made me laugh!

Greg, thank you for your comments. Yet another reason to stick with local farmers. Appreciate your generosity, and will definitely let you know if another opportunity presents itself.

Swimming is done, I made it to 11,250 :-)

Appreciate your thoughts and struggles here. We've done the same ourselves. With respect to our rice, another option is to let me know when you are involved with something like this, and we'd be happy to donate a case of rice. Good luck with your swimming!
