Holiday baking necessities – a gadget roundup

Last week I went to a friend’s house to bake holiday treats. Before I left home, I packed up a great number of my favorite kitchen tools to make the day more fun. Conveniently, these would also make great gifts for any baking fan on your holiday list. Here is my list of must-have items for holiday baking:

Oxo Good Grips 3-piece Angled Measuring Cup Set => I have had these for a couple years now, makes measuring liquids easy as you can look down from the top to confirm the amount.

Oxo Good Grips 3-piece Squeeze and Pour Silicone Measuring Cup Set => Received these for Christmas last year, they are great! And microwave safe.

Perfect Portions Digital Nutrition Food Scale => There are many scales available, this is one I have had for many years. Weighing ingredients, especially when baking, helps ensure a good result.

KitchenArt Pro 2 Cup Adjust-a-Cup => This gadget is the best for measuring sticky things like peanut butter and shortening.

Norpro Stainless Steel Scraper/Chopper => These bench scrapers are useful for loads of kitchen activities!

Natizo Stainless Steel 3-Cup Flour Sifter => I have an old sifter in this style that I use quite often, but I like this updated model with a cover to catch ingredients before you sift.

Cuisinart Set of 3 Fine Mesh Stainless Steel Strainers => These can also be used instead of the flour sifter above.

OXO Good Grips Medium Cookie Scoop => I recommend a couple different sizes of scoops for big and little cookies

Reynolds Kitchens Parchment Paper Sheets => Because I bake a lot, I buy my sheets from King Arthur Flour. These sheets are huge time savers and can be reused several times!

I also have 4 baking sheets (CostCo) and oven mits (CostCo again) that I bring along. And my favorite apron, a Japanese house dress from Muji.

What is on your must-have list for holiday baking?
