- Bolognese Sauce – recipe from America’s Test Kitchen Best of 2013 Recipes magazine – no dairy, although that was not a requirement
- Brussels sprouts salad ala M. Wells – Stephanie at Grub Report turned me onto this, and she is a picky eater! Great salad, keeps for a day in the fridge
- Vanilla Pudding from Puddings, Custards and Flans by Linda Zimmerman
