Family Dinner Plan: Holiday helpers

My menu this week was created with recipes straight out of my Sunday newspaper! How easy is that? Easy.

Here is my menu plan for the week of December 10:

Sunday: Shepherd’s Pie with sweet potato crust, roasted Brussel sprouts, salad with fennel and persimmons

Monday: Spaghetti squash with walnut-sage pesto, grilled chopped steak, salad with fennel and pomegranate seeds,

Tuesday: Lamb Steaks with Roasted Butternut Squash, celery root salad

Wednesday: Smothered Pork Chops, roasted potatoes, sauteed bok choy

Thursday: Leftovers

Friday: Takeout and holiday movies!

Holiday baking is upon us; we have several varieties of cookies to chose from this week. Plan to make a couple more, including these Chewy Chocolate Ginger Molasses Cookies. These Chocolate Dipped Nut Bites were also great, easy to double and gluten-free. What are your favorite holiday treats?
