Not sure what the problem is with raisins, but I agree, many cookie items are quite tasty with the addition of chocolate chips. Even my daughter thinks so!

And Toaster, glad to hear the coconut cookies turned out well. I like your substitution of wheat flour, I will try that next time.

For those of you interested, Toaster and I are talking about <a href="http://www.kitchengadgetgirl.com/2009/02/12/cookie-thursday-chocolate-coconut-cookie/" rel="nofollow">Chocolate Chip Coconut Cookies</a>, from February.

Although I don't mind raisins, my hubby doesn't like them either, and these sound pretty good!

Btw, I don't think I got back to you earlier this week with the results of the coconut chocolate chip cookies--they were a bit hit! My husband said they were one of the best cookies I ever made. :) I did make a slight substitution: I subbed 1/4 c. wheat flour for 1/4 c. of the white, which I thought would both be a bit healthier and might help the cookies spread less. They were still a bit on the flat side (not too bad), but quite yummy! Thanks again for sharing the recipe.

You indeed seem to have done a great substitution! My spouse also does not want to eat raisin.

You should thank your husband - adding chocolate chips to a cookie is NEVER a bad idea!
