This list is by no means exhaustive. I discovered while creating the list, that I have a propensity to purchase single use cake pans – Easter Bunny, Snowman, Bouquet. I also discovered some gadgets that I inherited but have not ever used, like the Rosette and Timbale Irons. I might have to find someone to help me with those. And I possibly discovered some gadgets that I can part with, like the chocolate molds I bought as a teenager, when I was into creating hand-made chocolates for presents.
Over the last nine months, I have often wondered if I chose the correct name for this blog, Kitchen Gadget Girl. After today’s exercise, I am feeing confident I have!

Wow you must have a huge kitchen! I had to put some of my kitchen gadgets in storage …. they are waiting for me for when we get a new house w/ a bigger kitchen!

funny you say that! No, we don’t have a particularly large kitchen (I have seen much bigger!) but I did spend a lot of time figuring out how to organize it and my workflow and so I think we fit things in pretty well. However, I still do have kitchen stuff stored in a cabinet in the dining room, since they would not fit in the kitchen!

Hello Kitchen Gadget Girl!
We make the Bagel Biter, The Original Bagel Guillotine. We have sold over a million units of our patented bagel slicer for home use molded in white. This year we are coming out with a black and silver gray colored model. It coordiates better with contemporary kitchen electrics as it comes close to the stainless steel, brushed aluminium and black components popular in electic toasters and other countertop products. Due out in kitchenware stores in May for about $25.

This is a GREAT list! We’ve had a Pizza Stone for almost 20 years (yes the same one) and it’s awesome!

we received the Pizza Stone as a wedding gift, and while I don’t use it every day, it is one thing that I find makes a big difference. Lately, I have been making bread and I love the way the stone gives the crust a nice crunch.

I am not sure what a yogurt drainer does. Aren’t you supposed to keep all of that liquid with your yogurt?
I am in love with my Le Creuset (I have graphite colored ones). I need something in the 3 quart range to complete my set, I think. The Le Creuset grill pan is super-useful.
I also have a little egg timer that goes in the boiling water with the eggs and changes color based on the hardness of the egg. I would not live without it!

Hi! I’m very impressed by your list! I, too, have a lot of gadgets and appliances. I have a pretty big kitchen and lots of cabinets, but not a lot of drawers. I’m trying to find a better way to organize the hand tools, such as spatulas, spreaders, peelers, zesters, etc. How do you keep your tools organized?

I am not sure that I have the best answers to this problem! It is so individual….I keep all things that are sharp in one drawer – knives, scissors, cheese slicers, zesters, peelers, etc. I hate reaching into a drawer and finding a sharp thing that was not supposed to be there.
Then, I have a bunch of tools in a holder on the sink – mostly spatulas, silicon scrapers, wooden spoons, things I need to grab in a hurry when cooking.
Under the stove goes a bunch of other, less frequently used tools, and then I have another drawer devoted to tongs and BBQ equipment. All my baking tools go in a drawer above the flour and sugar (actually, I only have drawers in my kitchen!)
I don’t think my system is perfect, but so far, it is working. If you don’t have drawers, maybe baskets with items grouped together by frequency of use or cooking task. Or hang the essential tools near the stove on tool hooks. How did your kitchen end up without lots of drawers?
