I have not used my microplane for garlic paste, but I do use it for grating ginger. What kind of recipes use garlic paste?

I am also the happy owner of the Oxo 4 cup fat-separator measuring cup thingy. Oxo even has a teeny tiny little measuring cup too!

Where would we be without our Microplane? Did you know it can also make garlic paste?

We have both the 2 cup and the 4 cup OXO measuring cups. They're so great because you don't have to stoop down to see the levels.

Nates last blog post..<a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/HouseOfAnnie/~3/481547132/homemade-li-hing-margarita.html" rel="nofollow">Homemade Li Hing Margarita</a>

Jodi, I agree with you about the garlic peeler, I was actually going to devote an entire post to that! Those little papery garlic peels drive me nuts and my peeler makes it so easy. :-)

Great list! I'd never seen that spatula before. I sue my microplane for lemon zest, grating nutmeg, and grating chocolate (it's getting chilly; time for hot chocolate!). One of my other favorites (not included here), is a garlic peeler (about $8 at Amazon).

I have a few of these in my kitchen -- and multiples of some, like the Microplane. Great list!
